Along the Hudson

24×24 inches, oil on canvas © 2013 Takeyce Walter

This weekend I dropped off a car load of paintings including the one above to Mimosa Gallery for my solo show there this month. It was such a relief and thrill to hand them off. I can’t wait to see the work all together. I am tremendously proud of the paintings being shown in this exhibition. Lots of hard work, long hours, and sleepless nights. It’s certainly all worth it in the end.

Each of these paintings capture moments of inspiration. Moments where I took pause to appreciate the beauty that I am so fortunate to be surrounded by every day.

Here’s an image of the postcard. It features the painting “Summer Shadows” 6×8″ oil.

I’ve been busy painting, and haven’t had a chance to post all the paintings here as yet. For a preview of the works included, please see my FB page album:

If you are interested in any of these paintings, please let me know or contact Michelle LaLonde at Mimosa Gallery, 518-583-1163. I’d love to hear from you too, so please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments!

If you are in the area on Saturday, July 13th, I would love to see you at the opening. I’ll be there from 4 – 7 PM. The exhibition runs from July 3 – 28. For those not available for the opening, I thank you for the well wishes.

Until Next time…
