Cohoes Falls Study
oil on stretched canvas
6 x 12 inches
SOLD
Here’s a study of an early spring view of Cohoes Falls on the Mohawk River; the second largest waterfall in New York state.
A friend of mine took me on a little tour of the falls and the town of Cohoes the other day (Thanks, NMS). I learned a cool fact about the falls – A prehistoric mastadon (woolly mammoth) was found there back in the 1800s!! The mammoth is now being displayed at the New York State museum. I think that’s so cool.
This study is already sold, but I plan on completing a couple larger versions in the near future.
Until next time…
