This painting was inspired by a wonderful memory of a summer night walk on the beach. The moon was so full, and reflected so beautifully on the ocean. It was a night I’ll never forget, and I’ve been thinking about painting it for a long time. I thought it was appropriate for this occasion.

Last Tuesday, 6/19 was the one year anniversary since I started this blog. I can’t believe how quickly the time has gone. I’ve learned a great deal, and continue to do so by practicing more often, observing nature, as well as studying other artists whom I admire. I’ve accomplished several goals, such as completing approximately 80 paintings in one year. I’ve been lucky enough to show my art in a few local shows. I’ve sold paintings to collectors all over the country, and I’ve made many new friends; artists, and art lovers all over the world.

I hope to continue to grow as an artist, and I am happy to be able to share this journey with you all. Thanks for your wonderful support. Here’s to another great year!
