This week’s painting is of a stone bridge over a shallow stream at the Yaddo Gardens, located in Saratoga Springs, NY. Quite a peaceful and beautiful place, I visit Yaddo often for long walks and inspiration. The grounds which host a mansion and 40 plus surrounding acres were donated by Spencer and Katrina Trask as a retreat for artists. Most of the property including an elaborate rose garden is open to the public.
