I had the most perfect day painting yesterday on the beautiful grounds of Olana in Hudson, NY. I met Melinda for a private mini-workshop, to work specifically on painting water and reflections. We made our way to the little heart shaped pond and set up our easels in the shade of a big oak tree.

We couldn’t have asked for a more ideal day for plein air painting.

Melinda did an amazing job with her piece. Her values are spot on, and her drawing holds up well.
