I used a limited color palette for this piece, which is very different from my usual work. I thought the snow would be pretty easy, after all it’s just white, right? Oh no… If you look closely, you’ll see that there are many subtle colors being reflected in the snow.
This little painting is my contribution to the SCAC annual member exhibit titled Winter Solstice. The show runs from Nov. 30 – Dec. 31. Opening night will be during the Victorian Streetwalk on Thursday November 30 from 6 – 10 PM. If you’re in the neighborhood, please stop by. There will be a variety works interpreting the theme by many local artists. It should be a fun night.
