The view of Lake George from the Shelving Rock overlook. @nature.ny<\/a> was instrumental in preserving this site before @nysdec<\/a> acquired it in 1974, and it\u2019s now a part of the Lake George Wild Forest. We visit this area often, especially in the summer. It\u2019s great for hiking, swimming, fishing – especially with kids, and a great opportunity to teach our kids to respect nature and #leavenotrace<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
