Captured here is the  Lapland Rosebay &#8211; a vibrant survivor at the top of the world.<br> <br>Summit Stewards have been educating the public about alpine ecosystems,  maintaining trails above treeline, and performing scientific research  on the state&#8217;s tallest summits for the last 31 years. The Nature  Conservancy helped build this program with the help of the Adirondack  Mountain Club and the Department of Environmental Conservation.
