Here’s the first painting of this month’s Creative February challenge. A bit about this project: A couple years ago, I had the idea to give myself a gift for my Birthday… the gift of time to create art every day for my birthday month. My friend, and amazing artist, Kate Edwards share my birthday so I asked her to join me! Happily, she agreed, and we got to work. I loved seeing her post her pieces, and they inspired me to keep going. That year we had a show at the Spring Street Gallery with all the work we produced for the month. It was great!<\/p>\n

This is our third year, and I thought we’d open it up to other makers who’d like to join us. It doesn’t have to be your birthday month to participate! Here’s what you have to do:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. \u00a0Create something, anything, (drawing, knitting, collage, photo, illustration, painting, music, poetry… you get the picture) each day (most days) from 2\/1 – 2\/29.<\/li>\n
  2. \u00a0Take a pic\/video, post it to your blog (if you have one), Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, and use the tag \u202a#\u200eCreativeFebruary\u202c to share!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
