I would like to do a much larger version of this painting soon. I love those back-lit clouds!<\/p>\n<p>In class we discussed the importance of choosing a good composition, and working from photos. This piece for example was a combination of two separate photos taken on the same day. One photo of the marsh had clear detail of the ground, but the sky was washed out.
