I&#8217;ve always wanted to do a self portrait, but my lack of experience painting people kept me from trying. Since having my kids, I&#8217;ve wanted to become a better portrait painter. What better way to practice than looking in the mirror! I so admire artists who paint people. Getting a likeness of a person is not an easy task, the proportions have to be spot on to get an accurate drawing. There&#8217;s also capturing somehow the persons character and personality. This was a huge challenge for me.
