Here’s nocturne inspired by the Silver Lake Bog Preserve. I have fond memories of hiking this preserve, through the mossy bog and the tall trees. Did you know that the moss found in the bog holds carbon below ground equivalent to the tallest trees there? The brilliant folks at The Nature Conservancy do an incredible job of educating the public on the ecological importance of seemingly simple things like moss.
