“Moody Marsh” | 12×12″ – pastel
Here’s a recent piece I started as a demo for the Artists in Action program at the Saratoga Springs Public Library. The program is run through a partnership of Saratoga Arts and the library to make the Arts more accessible to the public.
I’d like to thank Chris Alexander for considering me for this program. I had great fun!
It captures a marsh near Lake George on a foggy, rainy November afternoon.
This painting was sold at my show this month. It captures an early spring sunrise above the marsh behind my house. The marsh is a magical place that gives me constant inspiration. It’s a place I look to for peace and reflection.
Tonight is the grand opening of the SaratogaArtsFest Center and Gallery from 5 – 6:30 PM at 38 Van Dam Street, Saratoga Springs, NY. If you’re in town, it would be great to see you!
All together, I have 12 pieces in the show – both oils and pastels. I can’t wait to see how it all works together with the other 3 artists; Marsha Connell, a painter, Phil Scalia, a photographer, and Jack Metzgera, a sculptor. The curator, Kathleen Lucey always does such a brilliant job hanging these shows.
This painting and a few others will be displayed at this year’s Saratoga Arts Fest . I am honored to be a part of the Featured Group Exhibit again this year. Here are the details:
