Here’s another painting from my “Inspired” exhibition at Mimosa Gallery.
The artist reception is fast approaching this Saturday, 7/13. If you are in town, it would be great to see you. If you’re unable to make it in person, you can view the works being exhibited here: Inspired: Works by Takeyce Walter
If you are interested in any of these paintings, please let me know or contact Michelle LaLonde at Mimosa Gallery, 518-583-1163. If you are in the area on Saturday, July 13th, I would love to see you at the opening. I’ll be there from 4 – 7 PM. The exhibition runs from July 3 – 28.
Here’s the study for the Scotland commission I posted the other day.
This one was done in pastel, mainly to work out the composition and colors. I enjoyed doing the same subject in two different mediums. It is available matted, and ready to slip into an 11×14″ frame. I can also frame this piece for an additional cost.
Wow, this is officially the first painting of 2012. I was inspired by the full moon last week. My mother-in-law shared a couple brilliant photos she took of it with me, so I had to paint!
It’s been a while since I’ve ventured into the studio, and boy did I feel rusty. I actually almost gave up on this one twice, but I am glad I stuck with it.
This felt good once it was completed. I’m going back to the practice of painting on Sundays (during nap time perhaps?) and completing one painting a week. I think I can commit to that. We’ll see!
We’ve gone from 30 degree weather to 80 degree weather in a matter of days. I thought I’d cool things off a bit with this little scene capturing the last minutes of light on a winter day. It was a challenge!Started off pretty rough, so much so that I almost gave up on it – chalking it up to the heat getting to me. But alas, I pushed through and I’m glad I did.
