Recalling the gorgeous October autumn colors on the marsh.
This and a few of my smaller works are now available at Silverwood Gallery in Saratoga Springs for their holiday show. There’s a reception this evening, 11/17 from 5 – 9 PM. I hope you can make it!
The Oakroom Artists 60th Anniversary show is now up at the Fenimore Gallery at Proctors Theater in Schenectady, NY. Please check it out if you have a chance. The show features the work of over 34 members in a variety of media. My large piece “Dappled” was chosen to featured in an article in the Daily Gazette about the show! What a huge honor.
Another painting inspired by the beautiful Hudson River. It will be available this month for a fundraiser to benefit the Prevention Council, a nonprofit, community-based organization working to prevent alcohol, drug, and other substance abuse throughout Saratoga County.

From start to finish!
This is where it started. I love the looseness of this warm under-painting.
Here’s another painting currently being shown at my solo exhibition at Mimosa Gallery. Details are below: “Inspired” Works by Takeyce Walter
July 3 – 28 Opening Reception: Saturday, 7/13 4 – 7 PM
Saratoga Springs, NY
Here’s another painting of one of my most favorite places to visit, especially in the Fall. I started this one around noon yesterday, and made myself put down the brush around 6:30 PM. After all, the guys needed to be fed! I had to fight the urge to go back at the risk of overworking it. Overall, I am very pleased with it. My goal was to capture the striking contrast of the brilliant maple leaves amongst the birch trees.
Also, I wanted to thank everyone that attended the reception at Corina’s Friday night. It was a great night spending time with friends, and making new ones.
