Also – a quick thank you to Oldenbroke for featuring my work on his blog: Artists in Pastels. I love reading through this blog and have discovered many of my favorite pastelists there. So honored to be featured with such a talented bunch. Oldenroke is an excellent pastelist himself. You can view his works here: Oldenbroke’s Pastel Progress Blog.
A gray study of the Hudson on a very gray day. We’re still anxiously waiting for Spring in these parts!
I’m looking forward to the warm weather and all the great art happenings this year. I have two shows planned for the upcoming months. Here are some details.
This little gem was completed on Saturday during Art in the Park. I’ve been so busy, I completely failed to send out a note about it before. This year was interesting. Many vendors didn’t show up because of the threat of rain in the morning. Despite that, there was a really great showing in customers. I met some friends – old and new. All in all, we had a great time. The rain eased up, so the afternoon was nice and sunny. Thanks to everyone who was able to stop by. A HUGE thanks to my supporting crew (you know who you are!). I couldn’t do it every year without you!!
Now it’s back to the studio to work on a couple commissions.
Yesterday marked the 4 year anniversary of A Fine Art Blog! To celebrate, I had a drawing for a free painting. Anyone who left a comment on the blog since Tuesday was entered into the drawing. Thank you to everyone who took the time to let me know what you think of a particular painting, or my art in general. I really appreciate hearing from you all.
And without further ado… The winner of the painting give-away is…..
Here’s Barb’s comment: “Takeyce I have been getting your art in my e-mails for awhile and I have to tell you that you are so talented. I have watched you grow and expand your art and I am so impressed with your talent. I have wanted to tell you that for a long time. Keep them coming.”
Thank you , Barb!
This is another little study done last year of a magnificent summer sunset over the Mohawk River. The painting comes with its own display easel. Fits perfectly on a desk, shelf, or any little nook needing a burst of color.
I’ve been busy painting these little gems just in time for holiday shopping! I think they make perfect gifts for the holidays or any occasion. The price of the painting includes a mini display easel and gift wrapping.
