30×48″ | Oil

I have a few upcoming shows this Fall, so it’s going to be a busy couple months in the studio. I plan on completing a few larger works, and this one is a great size. I’m calling it “Linger” because I wanted to stay and savor this amazing light at sunset on the beautiful Hudson River.

Here’s the postcard for my next group show at The Laffer Gallery titled “Nurture Nature” :
It’s so wonderful to be showing with these artists whom I admire greatly.
Please mark your calendars for the opening reception. It’s on Saturday, 9/10 from 5 – 8 PM. Hope to see you there!

Until next time…

This is the latest large oil painting completed. It has been delivered to Silverwood Gallery to replace the other large 48×48″ painting that sold there last month! Here are few pics of it in process:
From start to finish!

This is where it started. I love the looseness of this warm under-painting.

Here it is in the new studio.

Detail of the rocks.

Here it is on the wall at Silverwood Gallery in Bolton Landing, NY.

I am pleased to say that the wonderful ladies at Silverwood have found homes for my two large oils (Mountain River, 36×36 and Summer Splendor, 48×48″) in the show. I’m doing the happy dance!

Until next time…

Hudson Rocks

5×5″ – 10×10″ Framed oil

The upper Hudson River on a beautiful summer day. This little oil is in the Saratoga Arts 10×10 show, opening this evening from 6 – 8 PM. I’m looking forward to this show, it was such a great success last year, and this year we have even more artists of all ages in the community participating!

Until next time…

Don’t you just love summer? In my world, nothing says summer like a kayak or canoe trip on one of the many bodies of water close to home. This one is the Hudson River – sparkling and cool on a warm summer day. Love it!

Hudson River Summer

Hudson River Summer
4×12″ | Oil
This painting has already found a home to a collector in New Jersey.

Do you need some peace and serenity in your life at the moment? Well, I hope this painting can offer a bit of that even if more a moment. It was a very peaceful and soothing piece to paint. I am so fortunate to have art to turn to in times of need. What do you do when peace is needed?
