Saying farewell to winter. Hopefully for the last time this season! I’m looking forward to bare feet, dandelions, and the sweet smell of grass.

Until next time…

Not only a New Day, but a New Year!
Happy New Year, to you all. I wish for you a year filled with wonderful, meaningful moments. And of course, beautiful art!

To start the year off, I am participating in Mimosa Gallery’s 10″x10″=$100 Annual Exhibit. The opening is this Saturday, Jan. 5th at 4pm. Several of my small paintings (no larger than 10×10″) will be available at the show. Hope to see you there!

Here’s what this painting could look like framed:

Hi there! It’s been a while, I know. I’ve missed you all!
Life has been, well… lively. It felt so amazing to be back at the easel, especially playing with oils. I just love the smell of linseed oil.

I’ve been invited to exhibit at this year’s Saratoga Arts Fest, so that has been great motivation to complete some new work. I’m pretty excited about the group show. I hope to have 8 – 12 news pieces for the curator to choose from. Working small this time around, I think it’s totally doable.

My studio is still “in transition”, so I set up this little cigar box easel on the kitchen table and got to work.

Cute, eh? It reminded me of the old days when my studio was in the corner of our apartment’s living room. Good times!
