The Oakroom Artists 60th Anniversary show is now up at the Fenimore Gallery at Proctors Theater in Schenectady, NY. Please check it out if you have a chance. The show features the work of over 34 members in a variety of media. My large piece “Dappled” was chosen to featured in an article in the Daily Gazette about the show! What a huge honor.
This bright and colorful pastel will be available among others at the Clement Art Gallery’s Winter Salon. It was inspired by a recent trip to Vermont at the peak of Fall foliage. The color was so vibrant and bold!
The opening for the Winter Salon is this Friday, from 6-9 PM. There will be over 100 works of art priced between $100 and $500 by 20 artists, including moi. Hope to see you there!
SOLD. Private collection in Crab Tree, NE
We took a trip to Vermont this past weekend, and the foliage was at its peak. The landscape was so beautiful and picturesque. This barn seemed to be enveloped by the surrounding foliage, and the brilliant blue sky. Beauty I just had to share with you!
Happy 2014, Everyone!
I know it’s a little late, but it’s still January, right?
I’ve started off the year well in terms of creating. This little pastel was the first of the year! Managing to find time to paint can be tricky with all of our other commitments pulling us in every direction. But it is so important for well being, to finding that time. In this busy world, the moments where you are completely absorbed in a creative process can be few and far between. So whether your passion is writing, painting, knitting, or sewing, do yourself a favor and find the time. You’ll be so happy you did, and it will improve your focus, mood, and motivation in general.
