Recent Press: Artist Spotlight

Recently, a reporter from the Daily Gazette contacted me to see if I would be interested in being the featured artist in their Artist Spotlight section. I was happy and honored to accept.

The paper was published today, and I am so thrilled. Many thanks to Cady Kuzmich and the Daily Gazette for this honor. And MANY thanks to all of YOU who’ve supported me and my artistic pursuits throughout the years. I couldn’t do it all without your encouraging words, attending my shows and classes, collecting and sharing my art, and cheering me on! xoxo

Art in the Park 2011

Wow! I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since I’ve posted a painting here! Life has been very busy – exhausting, but all wonderful things.

I hope to get into the studio tonight to work on a couple little paintings for Art in the Park this weekend.

Yes, Art in the Park is here again this Saturday from 10 – 5 PM at the historic Congress Park in downtown Saratoga Springs, NY. This is my fourth year participating, and I am eager to see what this year brings. The weather is supposed to cooperate, so I’m hoping for a great turnout.
I am also now able to accept instant credit card payments, which should be better for sales – I am told. If any other artists out there need info on how I am able to do this, please let me know. I’d be happy to share.

If you’re in the area, please come spend the day strolling through beautiful Congress Park while viewing some beautiful art. There will be over 70 seventy exhibiting artists, who work in a wide variety of media. Plus, I would LOVE to see you.

Everyone who stops by and signs up for my newsletter will be entered into my “Annual Blog Anniversary Free Painting Giveaway Drawing”. My current readers will be eligible too. More to come on that later!

Imagekind is a new service which allows you to order prints online. You also have the option to mat and frame your print; a very convenient feature.

To see the available prints, please click the button below. I’ll be adding more pieces in the near future. I’d love to hear from you if there’s a specific piece you’d like to see available.

Art in the Park

A couple admiring my paintings.

A view of my aisle.

Thanks to everyone who was able to make it to Art in the Park yesterday. It was such a great experience; something I definitely would like to do every summer. We had a steady stream of visitors despite 90 degree weather, and a passing shower. My booth remained unwavered in the wind, and dry in the rain – thanks to the quick thinking of my team of helpers ;o). You know who you all are [take a bow].

Congrats to the winners of the miniature art raffle. The minis were very popular at the show. I’ll have to get busy creating more.

Farm Fields

24 x 36 inches unframed
oil on stretched canvas
Available. Please email me for purchase info

This scene of a farm close to home is now the largest painting I’ve done. It is painted on gallery-wrapped canvas with the sides painted, so framing is optional.
