I was so honored and touched when one of my collectors asked me to create a painting in memory of her mother, Jane who recently passed away. In conversation, I learned that Jane had a love and appreciation for the beauty of all natural things – which she and her husband instilled into their children. Sunsets and streams were her favorites. She always took the time to enjoy each sunset, often taking photographs of them to share with others.
For the paintings, I provide a couple of options for the collector to choose from, and she loved both! The compositions were created from imagination, memory and some of my reference photos.
I was tremendously humbled and inspired to honor Jane and her sunsets. I know I’ll be forever grateful for the opportunity.
